I spent the evening downsizing the dresser in the Master Bedroom. It took about one hour to complete. Then brought up bags to pack up everything that was going to a mission thrift store. I had three huge bags from the closet and dresser. ( feels good to purge!)
Here is what I used to downsize my dresser.
1. Dusting spray and rag (a must, I could write my name in it)
2. Trash bags to put items in.
3. Wicker basket that I bought at Ross. It was only $5.99.
I had to give myself the pep talk of if I have not used it in a year then I need to get rid of it. I only keep sentimental items even if I have not used them In a year.

I took everything off the top of the dresser and gave the dresser a good cleaning. Then I got rid of an extra curling iron that I never use and a few other small items. Once I purged I put the rest of my toiletries in the new wicker basket from Ross Dress For Less. As you can see in the pictures, it fit great.

Next I moved to the drawers. The main thing that I did was weed out old worn out underwear and left only 5 different pairs of night garments. I have two pair of winter and 3 silk pajamas. That Is plenty.
