When my kids were little we would buy every Disney movie that came out. (Yes, on VHS) I have a cabinet full of movies that are not being watched and we don’t even have a VHS player anymore to watch them on. I still have this urge to keep everyone of them. I don’t know why but I do.
I have decided to keep a few of the VHS movies that were favorites of our family. The rest are heading out of the house. I have several DVD movies too that need to be purged.
We are a movie watching family. We love to have movie night. This was a regular occurrence when the kids we little. Now I find myself either renting movies from RedBox or watching them off of Netflix. There is TV shows, movies and documentaries on Netflix. We have the subscription that is only $6.99 and you can watch movies online. There are different levels but the lowest level has worked great for our family and I think it is well worth it.
I have taken into account how much we watch from Redbox and Netflix and I am getting rid of movies that are just stuffed in the cabinet and have not been watched in over 5 years. They are in great condition still so I am going to box them up and take them to the homeless shelter to where they can use them in the children’s play area.
The other thing that I have in the video and entertainment cabinet is our games. I will talk about them next and also post pictures of the before and after.
