Oh my!!! I started on the closet in our bedroom that is our daughters room ( she is now in her own home). I had no idea how much stuff was in there. This closet serves as a storage for her things that she doesn’t need right now or her off season clothes. Plus items that our son has chosen to put in there to get out of his way. I had not opened that door in a long time and I was shocked at how much was in there.

Here is what I am working through.
1. Donation pile. You see all those blankets and sleeping bag? If they are here in this closet, that means we are not using them…… So there are homeless people in the city that will love to have these come our first cold snap. Off they go to Wayside Mission. (I am keeping one that my sister made for me that I thought had been carried away to a dorm or apartment with the kids ).
2. Combining plastic totes. Our daughter is very organized. I am thankful for that. But I need space in this closet so I am taking these totes and downsizing them into 2 (hopefully) some of the things in the totes are like old magazines. Before tossing anything, I will give her a call.
3. There are some sweet memories in this closet. Jordan’s first quilt that was made for her by a sweet lady in our church in Georgia and an Apron that my mom hand stitched for her, also several pictures as well. I am going to stores these in a separate smaller container.

Funny story about that big doodle bear…. My mother in law went to buy our daughter a doodle bear when she was 4 yrs old at Toys R Us. They were out of stock of the bears. She talked the sales boy into giving her the display bear which is like 10 times larger than the bears that they sale. Jordan was so surprised and excited because none of her other friends had a diddle bear that big. That bear has been in her room ever since….. Maybe it needs to go live in here room now and not in this closet. Lol

I will post pictures of the final by the end of this week.
