Is your cash like most American’s still very tight from the economy but you still have the heart and the desire to give to charities that in desperate need this holiday season? I totally understand. I received my All You magazine in the mail yesterday, which had great recipes and coupons for the holidays, and they had a page that gave great ways to still give without it having to give any money. There are sites on the internet and organization that will donate money just from you clicking on a few sites a day. You are already on the computer, why not take a couple of minutes and click on these sites and you will be helping to fund charities
Here is the charities that All You magazine listed.
- The breast Cancer Site. www.thebreastcancersite.com On the home page there is a big pink button that says, click here to give. It is free! This site will send a donation everytime you click on the button to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to pay for mammogrames for women that are in need. You can click on this once a day. The magazine reports that 3,315 mammograms were paid for last year through this site.
- Free Rice www.freerice.com This one is almost like a game but you are still helping donate to a charity. Each day they post a word of the day to test your vocabulary. You have to pick the correct synonym from a list provided. For each right answer the site will donate 10 grains of rice to the U.N. World Food Program. This is a great program that is racing against time to stop world hunger. When you go to the site you have the option of downloading the search toolbar. If you download the search toolbar, you can earn up to 5000 grains of rice a day for world hunger.
- Good Search www.goodsearch.com This one is a little different. You get to select your cause and then through your searches they will donate money to that cause. This search is powered by Yahoo.
- Care 2 Make a Difference. www.stopviolence.care2.com When you go to this site you will need to click on the button “Click to donate, It’s 100% Free”. You can click on this once a day. This charity donates to Amnesty International’s Stop Violence Against Woment Campain.
There are ways that we can still donate to charities that have great programs. Everyone is stuggling to make ends meet. Maybe you can only give to one charity this year instead of the multiple that you have in the past but this is a way you can give back with your time on the computer. As you can see, all it is , is clicking on a donate now button on most of them.
