The only thing you will make sure you return the movie within 24 hours of renting it or you will be charged for 2 days.

Hulu.  I have caught up with Parenthood on Netflix and i am now watching it on Hulu because I am in the current season.  I love Hulu.  If you miss a show you can usually find it on Hulu.  We watch this if it is just Gregg and I and we are in bed.  I am not sure if you can run this through your computer to the TV or not. I am sure someone knows how to do that.  I use the free version of Hulu.

Library.  Borrow movies from your local library, church library or school library.  You will be amazed at the selection each will have.

If you have cable, call them and bargain with them to give you free months of on demand channels.  You will be surprised how easy it is to get the cable company to give you these perks.  They want to keep your business.

I am wanting to cut cost in my home a little further this 2012 year by doing  some everyday household items myself.   I am going to try and do one a month for this next year.   Here is the list that I want to try over the next year. As I do these, I will post pictures, instructions and or video on how i did each of these.

9. Make a paper cone wreath
10. Freezer meal cooking.  Cook 2 weeks worth of meals for the freezer.

Don’t get caught up in the spending and buying and when Christmas day is over you realize that you missed the season that is to be celebrated. We all do it at one time or another, get caught up in the hustle and bussel of Christmas giving and forget what we are celebrating.   I think this year has been a year that has brought me back to the meaning of Christmas.   With our family celebrating Christmas for the first time without my mom, it has made me think about family, my life and what Christ did for me on the cross.   The perspective has come back in to the season for me.

I love to give gifts.  That is something that I truly enjoy doing.  I love to see the faces of people as they open up presents and see something that they love.  I can look back over the years and I actually see now that I sometimes have put the gifts before the reason. 

This year, I am trying to keep the reason for the season first and not over do the gifts.  I am trying to put more emphasis on time with family and time with celebrating the gift Christ has given each one of us. 

During this season I encourage you to take time and read Luke 2: 1-21 and enjoy this season that is a reminder of the Gift that was given to us.
