Where do you get all the coupons?
I usually get asked while standing at the cash register by the shopper that is standing next in line, where do you find your coupons? Instead of going through the long story, I usually just direct them to my site, www.athriftygeek.com and tell them to email me if they have any questions. Finding coupons is easy but if you don’t know where to look, then it can be overwhelming. Here is where I collect all my coupons from.
Sunday Papers: My rule of thumb, if there is over $180 worth of coupons in the paper, I get 2 or more papers. If it is less, I just buy one. In the Sunday paper is also the Parade Magazine, always look through it , there is usually a good coupon hiding in there. Rule of thumb, one paper per person in your home when you are first starting to coupon.
Blinkies: What? You know the coupon dispensers that are through out the grocery store. They are called Blinkies. (they have a little red button that blinks) Look for these as you are going through the grocery store. Collect them for future use. I usually will get 4-5 of them if it is a product that I like.
Online coupons: You can print coupons off of the internet. They are legal and the stores will take them. When looking at the online coupons, print ones that you know you will use in the future. Don’t just print the immediate need. These coupons have a print limit so when it is reached the coupon is no longer available. When Printing online coupons, you can hit your Internet “back” button and print them twice.

A magazine that is AWESOME for coupons is the All You Magazine . This is a Walmart sponsored magazine that is always jammed packed with coupons. You can buy it at Walmart but the cheapest route is to get a subscription through Amazon. The coupons in the magazine always pays for the magazine ten times over.
Ebay: yes, you can even buy coupons on Ebay. If there is a certain coupon that you are looking for, check out Ebay. You can usually buy a bulk of a certain coupon for cheap. SEarch on Ebay for Beer Coupons. The great thing about living in AL, AR, CT, HI, KY, ME, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OK, UT and WV you are not required to buy the beer, you can just buy the second part of the coupon. Example, buy coors beer and a salty snack and get $5 rebate. You don’t have to buy the coors beer to get the $5 rebate.
