Do you have a little adventure hero in your house? I have nieces and nephews that LOVE to dress up and role play. My nephew Kannon was able to try out the Dark Knight Batman Costume over the past weekend and he loved it. Halloween is a great time to get costumes for your kids to dress up in but the great thing is that the kids will play in the costumes all year long. My nephews run around all the time in their costumes. I think it is wonderful for them to have an imagination.
Just a little funny story, last fall, two of my nephews were in the living room playing and both love Batman. They got into a
drag out fight over who was going to be the black batman. It was so funny how they take their characters so seriously.
I let Kannon pick out the costume that he wanted to try and he choose a costume from the Dark Knight Rises Movie. I don’t think he has ever seen the movie but he knew exactly who Batman was. He picked out a really cool batman costume that the chest plate lights up with the bat. It is a neat feature. The only thing I would tell parents is, they need to have extra batteries because the child will keep the light on all the time.
Buying costumes at Halloween is not just a cost that is just for one night. If you get a costume that your child likes and enjoys, it will be something that they dress up in often and expand their imagination. Try to let your little hero pick out the costume to where you can get your money’s worth out of the outfit.
