If you have been reading my site lately, you would have read the post I did the other day on Matthew 6 and how stockpiling is Biblical. I ran across this great Pinterest idea that is a Blessings Bag . I absolutely love this idea.
You can fill your quart size or gallon size bags with items that you got for FREE. What a great way to bless others and it not cost you nothing but the cost of the plastic bag.
I don’t go a day with out seeing someone walking on the side of the street that I know is homeless or in great need. In Matthew 6 it says 2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
What a strong passage. I want to be pleasing to the Lord. I want my reward to come from the Heavenly Father and not men. And I see in this scripture it doesn’t say, if you give to the needy, it says WHEN you give to the needy. This is a command from our Father.
What a great idea to use your stockpile to give to the needy.
